Have you ever given a Christmas gift and saw it instantly doubled? Well, during our 2011 Victory Matching Challenge, that’s exactly what will happen! Some donors have challenged us to raise as much as $100,000 for the ministry of First Priority, and they will match it dollar-for-dollar!
In these challenging economic times every gift is critical. I hope you’ll prayerfully consider giving a special gift for this year’s Victory Matching Challenge. Your year-end gift of $20, $50, $75, $100 or even more will have twice the impact in young lives! Can I count on your support? Click here to support our 2011 Victory Matching Challenge.
The 2011-2012 school year is First Priority’s 21st year of ministry and it has been very exciting and productive. Tens of thousands of students’ lives are touched each semester in Greater Birmingham by the ministry of hundreds of First Priority volunteers. Let me highlight a few of the ways First Priority impacted lives in 2011.
As this year began, over 700 chosen student leaders and their faculty sponsors took part in our all-day “Leader’s Summit” free of charge. Chick-fil-A and Southeastern Bible College partnered with us in this project, and more than 60 schools from all across the area participated! Because of the demand from teachers and principals, we are planning to offer another Leader’s Summit in February 2012. Here’s what one student had to say about the Leader’s Summit, “I was inspired most by seeing all the leaders come together. Anyone can be a leader if they let God lead them. We all have the opportunity to be led and to lead.”
Nearly 600 salvations were reported across the nation during Kah-riss – National Campus Missionary Week October 24-28. Praise the Lord! Over 100 of those salvation decisions were made in the Greater Birmingham area. Kah-riss focused on campus missions on over 2,500 middle and high school campuses with First Priority campus movements across the U.S.
There’s more:
- We have now officially launched “First Priority Kids.” New intermediate and elementary schools are establishing these Christian-based clubs each week of this school year. The response has been overwhelming with 25 new clubs and more than 5,000 students. We believe this is the wave of the future for campus ministry.
- Thousands of students attend First Priority outreach events in their local communities each year.
- Each week, more than 15,000 students are being impacted by First Priority clubs that meet on over 200 campuses when school is in session.
- “See You at the Pole” rallies planned by local churches across the area gave thousands of un-churched students an opportunity to hear the Gospel.
The results of your prayer and support don’t stop there. You are a vital partner to every student, parent, teacher and youth worker touched through First Priority ministries. Your support makes a world of difference in so many lives, and eternities! Now, during our 2011 Victory Matching Challenge, your special gift of financial support will be twice as effective! Your gift of $20 will be immediately doubled to $40. Your $50 gift will be matched to make a $100 gift, $75 becomes $150 and $100 becomes $200. This is an especially important time to support First Priority. Because of your ongoing support, hundreds of students will make a decision for Christ through First Priority clubs and special events!
Please consider giving a generous gift of $20, $50, $75, $100 or even more by December 31! A gift in any amount will be instantly doubled for twice the joy, twice the hope and twice the love to a student who so desperately needs to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ! Your support will help ensure that every student in our area has the opportunity to be touched with God’s love. Please use the link below to make an online donation! May God bless you this holiday season!
Thank you for your support,
