Great things are happening on our campuses every day. Students are passionately living for Christ and working to reach their friends and community for him. New and exciting things aren’t just happening locally, but state and nation-wide as well.
Brandon Starnes is a new First Priority city director in Decatur, Ala. Last year, Brandon decided he wanted to make a difference in the lives of the 10,000 students in his county. So, he contacted First Priority of America and patiently went through the process to begin First Priority in his area. There are now eight youth ministers involved and First Priority has been launched in 15 schools.
“I want to encourage whoever is reading this to follow the phases to the T and then you will see a thriving ministry, one that will out last you,” said Brandon. “If you don’t follow the guides and just throw a club together, you will see students come to know Christ but you will also experience that club failing over time because it has no foundation. Take the time to build the foundation.”
Brandon said 10 students were saved just last week during “Hook” Week at Cotaco Middle School in Morgan County and close to 120 have received Christ this school year alone. WOW, we serve an amazing God!
Please be in prayer for Brandon as he continues to grow First Priority in Decatur. Please pray that there will be more people like Brandon who want to reach students in their city for Christ. May First Priority be in every school across our nation!
