Our 32 year history shows us that for every $10 given to First Priority we are able to share Gospel Hope with a student on the public school campus. We do this by empowering Christian students to share Jesus with their peers and friends at school. Will you help us reach more kids and teens than ever before? We are counting on people like you who understand how important it is that every last student has this opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel before they enter adulthood.

This is an especially important time to give to First Priority… Some friends of First Priority have gotten together to challenge the ministry to raise $100,000 from now until the end of the year, and they will match every penny donated! Will you consider giving a gift for our year-end Victory Matching Challenge and help reach more students with the Gospel?

GivingTuesday is THIS TUESDAY, November 29, a day that charities, families, churches, businesses and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give to causes they believe in. GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season of giving. It’s a simple idea, and we hope you’ll join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity!

As Alex explains in the video above, there are so many students that are lonely, depressed, anxious and roaming through the halls searching for an answer. First Priority is a place for community, unity, love, hope and a place where students can make an eternal impact on other students’ lives. “We not only give them a place to come and be comfortable and be open and be a community, we bring them the Hope of Christ.”

150 Faculty Sponsors that love and support our students by providing a space for them to meet
600 Campus Volunteers that are mobilized every month to train and mentor this generation
1,200 Churches that support the mission of First Priority to take the Hope of Christ to every student
6,000 Students that meet weekly who have found a Christian community to feel safe and empowered to share hope with their friends
Hundreds of Donors and Friends who pray for us, support us and make all of this possible
It is because of you that for the past 32 years we have been able to reach hundreds of thousands of students with the Hope of Christ across the Greater-Birmingham Area! THANK YOU! Just since August, 441 salvation decisions have been reported from our 115 campus clubs that YOU helped us relaunch over the past couple of years. We are truly grateful for people like you who desire to see students come to know Christ. We serve a great and almighty God! Is Your Church Involved With Taking The Hope Of Christ To Every Student?

As we approach our 33rd year of First Priority, we believe in investing in the community and mobilizing students to share the Hope of Christ on their school campus. As of this past school year, there are 163,814 students in 270 schools across Greater Birmingham and we want to reach Every Last One with the Gospel. We have active clubs in 113 schools reaching almost 6,000 students weekly. Already, we have had 107 salvation decisions reported since August and trained over 340 student leaders.

I know that right now a lot of churches are looking at their annual budgets and making plans for next year. We ask for you to consider First Priority as part of your local missions giving. We would love to come share about what God is doing in our city through the lives of students. We are available to come and speak with your missions committee or at your missions conference. It takes all of us working together in order to see revival happen in our city. In the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, there is a phrase on the wall that says, “Birmingham, the world is watching.” I believe God wants to do something special here in our city that can impact the world, just like First Priority began in Birmingham 33 years ago and now has spread across America and around the world!
Did you know that suicide is the second leading cause of death among teenagers? Students are depressed, lonely and looking for a safe place to belong. Did you also know that in America 3,300 students drop out of school every day? The majority of students tell us they have little sense of hope or direction. They want to make a difference but feel afraid, overwhelmed and anxious. These statistics are disturbing and frightening. Christ’s love is the answer and First Priority gives students a great outlet to connect with others who may be going through similar situations. Is your church giving to First Priority? Your support will help launch more clubs, reach students with the Gospel, provide needed resources for clubs, develop leaders, build accountability, encourage teamwork, and allow a First Priority staff member to work with the schools in your community. We still have 157 schools and tens of thousands of students to reach, will you help us expand our influence?

We are very thankful for you and your continuous prayer and support of First Priority. It is because of you that we are able to reach tens of thousands of students with the Hope of Christ each week on nearly 200 school campuses across the Greater-Birmingham Area. Last school year, out of the clubs that reported, over 10,000 students made a decision for Christ through First Priority clubs across the nation and more than 550 of those were in Greater Birmingham. We are truly grateful for people like you who desire to see students come to know Christ. We serve a great and almighty God! We have so much to be thankful for.
