During Thompson Intermediate School’s First Priority club meeting on March 9, 2012, students made “Thank you” cards for teachers to bless and encourage them. First Priority Teacher Sponsor Keysha Thomaston said teachers had been conducting a math blitz to help students prepare for testing. She said teachers were working really hard, arriving early and staying late, and this activity gave students the opportunity to demonstrate appreciation for their teachers’ hard work.

About 65 students participated in the activity. Students were so excited about delivering their cards to teachers. Several voiced that they couldn’t wait to brighten their teacher’s day.
