We would like to invite you to Alive in the Mountains (AITM) 2011! Formerly Live in the Mountains, this world-class retreat is back upon request in December 2011. We had an incredible time last year being encouraged, challenged and strengthened by some of the most effective ministers of our day. We are looking forward to another conference filled with life-changing worship and teaching sessions. We hope you, your church group and family will be able to attend!
Alive in the Mountains will be held at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Dec. 27-30, 2011. The line-up for this year’s conference includes: Worship Leaders CJ Blount and Finding Favour; Illusionist Drew Worsham; and prominent communicators of God’s word Dave Edwards and Brent Crowe will be our featured speakers during our five worship sessions.
AITM has been a valuable retreat in the past for groups and families and we are excited about this year’s event. We believe it is the best value we have ever been able to offer groups. The cost of the three-night retreat will be from $109* per person. Be sure to check out pricing and registration information at www.aliveinthemountains.org . Registration begins Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.
This year’s theme is First Book Challenge. Without a working knowledge of Scripture, students lose their grasp on the Word of God, and this releases a chain reaction of anger, resentment, lack of purpose, and disappointment with life. They are more likely to steal, be physically abusive, cheat on an exam, use illegal drugs, and attempt suicide. The Bible is the change agent for this generation; students need a deeply held belief in God and His Word. This belief will serve as the foundation of their faith so that no matter what comes their way, they will stand strong. The Word of God now and always is speaking as it was in Samuel’s day, and someone is listening.
There is a generation of students who will not bow down to the prevailing trends of society or its relentless pursuit of materialism. They will no longer be lead astray by easy believe-ism but instead have embraced God’s standard of absolute truth and the pursuit of godliness. They have heard the call to continue holding on to the priority of Scripture, believing that the Word of God places salvation for all of mankind. They believe that the Bible is more than a guidebook or a textbook that it is the very portrait of Christ, who is our hope for eternal life. The Bible is unique because it unlocks the true identity, purpose, and destiny of our lives. It assures us that God has not left us here to grope our way through life but has given us His wisdom in His Word to be studied, believed, and obeyed. This generation speaks with conviction what the pages of Scripture declare that God is alive and have set their lives in motion by His Spirit; they have picked up His book and made it their First Book.
Are you ready for the First Book Challenge? We hope you and your group will join us for Alive in the Mountains 2011 as we study the truth. We will be challenged to embrace Scripture, God’s Word, for answers and direction for our lives. We will be challenged to stand strong and turn to God when we’re faced with life’s toughest challenges. Be sure to check out www.aliveinthemountains.org for more information about Alive in the Mountains. We hope you, your church group and family will be able to attend this life-changing retreat!
