Please pray with us the following prayer for “Day of Prayer Over Students Across Alabama.”
Father God,
On this day of prayer for the students in our schools across the State of Alabama, we pray that You would be a shield around them, that You would bestow Your glory on them, and be the Lifter of their heads.
We pray, Father, that You would recruit an army of prayer warriors to blanket our schools in prayer, so that Your manifest Spirit would consume and remain steadfast on all of our school campuses. We pray, Jehovah Nisssi, our victory banner that goes before us into battle, that You would teach our students to be strong in You Lord, that is to be empowered by Your strength through time spent worshipping you, reading and studying Your Word, and in prayer. We pray that You would remind them daily to put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand up against all the strategies and the deceitfulness of the enemy. Therefore, with the belt of truth tightened around their waists, help our students each day to put on the breastplate of righteousness, which is integrity, good moral judgment, and right standing with You, Lord God. Please remind them to put on their feet the preparation to face the enemy with firm-footed stability, promptness, and the readiness to share the gospel of peace with their peers. To that end, give our students instructed tongues so that the words that You put into their hearts and prompt them to speak, will pierce the hearts of their peers. I pray that what Your children say will produce abundant fruit for Your kingdom, Lord God Almighty.
Lord God, strengthen Your children to lift up the shield of saving faith upon which they can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked one. In this exercise, Lord God of Hosts, remind our students that they wrestle not against flesh and blood, or physical opponents, but they wrestle against evil despotisms, against powers, against master spirits that are world rulers of this present darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the supernatural spheres. Lord Adonai, please send your angels to spiritually nudge our students to put on their heads their helmets of salvation, and by that to daily remember what Christ did for us all on the cross. Please remind them to pick up the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the rhema Word of God. Encourage our students to pray at all times and on every occasion, in every season, and with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, all manner of prayers and supplications for themselves and their peers, and to keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding on behalf of all the saints who are God’s consecrated people.
We pray that our students would honor their parents, and would submit willingly to the authorities in their lives. We pray that Your children in our schools would not be offended easily, and when they are offended, they would forgive quickly. We pray that Your sheep would do the three things that You love, and that is to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You, Father God. We ask You Lord, to answer the prayers of the students, so that they might see their peers healed, delivered, and saved. We pray that the fire of Your holiness would take hold in the students’ hearts, and that revival would take hold in our public schools in the state of Alabama. We pray that our students would call to You, and that You would answer them, and show them great and mighty things that they do not know. We ask that through these answers, our students would grow in their faith, and see even greater miracles come to pass in Your kingdom, as a result of their prayers.
Help the teachers and students that are already a part of Your kingdom, not to submit to the fear of man, but only to delight in the fear of You, Father God. Help them to see each other and their peers as You see them, and stir in their hearts the fire of Your love for everyone at their schools, especially the unloved, the unlovable, and the unlovely.
I pray that the teachers and students at our schools in Alabama would be discerning of the truth, and only retain Your truth and that they would filter out anything that is said or taught that is not Your truth.
I pray that the students that are the natural leaders in our schools in Alabama would come to know You Jesus, as their Savior and Lord, and that they would live a life of faith that would be contagious to the students that don’t know Your salvation.
Finally, Father God, we pray that as revival takes hold in our schools, that it would also flow out of our students into their homes. From there we pray that revival would take hold in our neighborhoods, our communities, our cities, and our state. Help each one of us know our part in how to cooperate with You to make this happen. We pray Father, that You would breathe Your breath of life on these prayers, as a little child blows dandelion seeds on a spring day. We pray that the seeds of these prayers would take hold on fertile ground and produce abundant fruit.
In Jesus’ Most Holy Name we pray,
Amen
