We hope you’re making plans to join us for a round of golf! Our Golf Challenge will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at Ballantrae Golf Club, 1300 Ballantrae Club Drive, Pelham, AL, 35124. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and tee off will be at 1 p.m. This tournament will be a shotgun start and includes your golf round, lunch, gifts and snacks.
You may remember in my previous email, I shared with you that suicide is the second leading cause of death among teenagers. Students are depressed, lonely and looking for a safe place to belong. I’d also like to share another alarming stat: 3,300 students drop out of school every day. The majority of students tell us they have little sense of hope or direction. They want to make a difference but feel afraid, overwhelmed and anxious. Christ’s love is the answer and First Priority gives students a great outlet to connect with others who may be going through similar situations. Your golf sponsorship will help launch more clubs, reach students with the Gospel, develop leaders and connect local churches to mentor students.
