Dear First Priority Partner,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful and blessed Christmas! I am writing to you today as a follow-up to a previous email I sent you earlier this month. In that email, I thanked you for your support in the past and asked for your financial support this year-end. My previous email also outlined how, because of your prayer and support, we have been able to relaunch over 100 First Priority and Priority Kids clubs and start several brand new clubs. We’re also celebrating even more decisions for Christ – nearly 60 salvations have been reported from our clubs over the past few weeks!
You may remember that I shared with you that according to research by Springtide, 75% of young people turn to their friends or someone at school when feeling overwhelmed and not knowing what to do about something. After I wrote you, I received an email from a faculty sponsor who shared about a couple of students who opened up at their First Priority club meeting and shared very personal information about what they were going through. One student admitted she struggled with an addiction of self-harm. She shared how the Lord was lifting this burden from her and how the Holy Spirit was working in her life. Another student shared how no one in her house attends church; however, through First Priority she is learning more about Jesus and wants to know Him even more.
As I mentioned in my previous email, we cannot wait on young people to come to the church. These testimonies are proof that the church must go to where they are…and that’s at school. I am asking you to help us help these students. Your gift between now and December 31st will be DOUBLED and help First Priority work with local churches and students to spread the Gospel. First Priority provides a safe environment where students know they can open up about struggles, find friends and hope. You see, we know that the ultimate solution is Jesus!
If you have already given a gift, thank you for your generosity. If you haven’t sent a gift yet, there is still time for you personally to make a difference in the lives of teenagers all across the Birmingham area.
Keeping Christ The First Priority,
