I truly thank God every day that I get a chance to visit local schools and see students taking a stand and sharing their faith at First Priority. First Priority clubs all over the state are seeing more and more students being bold and leading a club. The strategy that First Priority helps put in place allows students to lead and encourage fellow students to share the Hope of Christ openly with their peers.
This morning was one of those mornings you enter school unsure what students have planned and are completely surprised that a 9th grade student is prepared with Bible notes and prayer ready to go. Reading from Titus 3:9-10, a sweet spirit entered club as J. Ellis, a freshmen girl at Gardendale High School, challenged students to be gentle and kind even when we face challenges. She went on to say that if we acted more like Christ and responded as he did out of Love that more people would know that we are His followers and would want to know Him more. Closing in prayer she prayed for students at the club meeting to allow God to guide them in what they say and how they respond to those around them.
