#GivingTuesday is just around the corner on December 1, a day that charities, families, churches, businesses and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give to causes they believe in. There’s Black Friday, Cyber Monday and now there’s #GivingTuesday, which kicks off the charitable season of giving. It’s a simple idea, and we hope you’ll join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity!
This is an especially important time to give to First Priority… Some friends of First Priority have gotten together to challenge the ministry to raise $100,000 in November and December, and they will match every penny donated! We hope you will consider giving a gift for our year-end Victory Matching Challenge.
First Priority is celebrating 30 years of campus ministry in Alabama. Our outreach to the local public schools in Birmingham began in the fall of 1990. Since that time, hundreds of thousands of teens and more recently children have been touched with the Gospel.
Our history shows us that for every $10 given to First Priority we are able to share Gospel Hope with a student who likely is not nor will not be involved in a local church otherwise. We do this by encouraging, equipping and empowering Christian students to share the love and message of Jesus with their peers and friends at school.
Perhaps your life or your child’s life has been impacted by the ministry of First Priority over the years. Perhaps you have children in school right now. Will you help us reach more kids and teens than ever before? We are counting on people like you who understand how important it is that every last student has this opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel before they enter adulthood.
We are very thankful that for 30 years we have had such strong support from churches and individuals like you who love what we do and desire to help the most vulnerable in our society. We hope #GivingTuesday will give you another way to join with us and to invite others to do the same.
