First Priority students serve their community and school for Christ
Throughout the school year, many First Priority clubs participate in various mission and outreach projects to serve the community and their school for Christ. Most recently, McAdory High School First Priority students participated in a mission project to help starving children. These students partnered with a group called Kingdom Builders, a collection of churches in Bessemer and McCalla who unite local residents to serve together for the glory of God. On February 1, this group served an organization called Feed My Starving Children. Together, they assembled over 18,000 Manna Packs that will provide over 108,000 meals to those in need.
First Priority students also serve other students, teachers and administration at their school by participating in activities such as serving them breakfast, sending them an encouraging letter and giving them scripture cards and Bibles. On January 22, Moody Jr. High School First Priority students served their school by providing hot chocolate to students and teachers as they entered the building. They gave out a total of 175 cups. As they handed out the hot chocolate, they invited students to attend First Priority. The First Priority club had nearly 60 students in attendance that day.
Moody High School students were so encouraged by the Junior High’s outreach that they decided to serve hot chocolate a week later. They gave out a total of 268 cups. The students served with joy and smiles on their faces and those receiving the hot chocolate were very appreciative as it was 15 degrees outside.
