We would like to provide you with some encouragement on this Monday! Although school is not in session, clubs are still meeting and students are being reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Our middle and high school students, as well as our FPKids volunteers, have thought of creative ways to still hold club meetings even though they can’t meet in person. Fonda Hitchcock, FPKids volunteer for Green Valley Elementary School, recorded an incredible “Live It Week” video that was emailed to all of the parents so the kids could still participate in FPKids last week (see video above). We hope you’ll take a moment to check out the video and be encouraged and blessed, you won’t regret it!
Brandy Jones from South Shades Crest Elementary held her FPKids club meeting Wednesday on Facebook Live. She said, “I’m not going to lie, I was so nervous because it wasn’t just the kids watching but the parents watching as well.” Brandy continued that she was not great with technology but she made it happen. “Where there is a will, there is a way.” What a great inspiration for us today! Shelby Johnson, FPKids volunteer for Shades Mountain Elementary School, did a live club meeting Friday morning for students and parents. We’re excited that parents are getting involved and working to ensure club meetings are held even though school is not in session. This week, FPKids volunteers are getting together to film the last month of curriculum for us to send to teachers, all volunteers and families of students. We are so excited to share with you how amazing our leaders are and how uniquely they serve our kids.
Being out of school hasn’t slowed our middle and high school clubs from meeting either! We love seeing what students are doing to connect with each other. Several of our clubs have utilized the Zoom app to hold First Priority meetings, to love on each other and to share Christ. Spain Park High School gathered online to pray for their school and community. We have had several students from area high schools record inspirational videos that are coming soon on our social media platforms. Students have started virtual clubs. Click here for more info on virtual clubs and how students are still reaching students.
![]() What a great inspiration for us today! Our Hope is that Every Last One on 271 campuses across the Greater Birmingham Area will have an opportunity to respond to the love and message of Jesus Christ. Exciting things are happening even though clubs aren’t able to meet physically on the school campus. For a full update on how we’re adjusting during this global crisis, be sure to check out the video here.
